Signs of Spring….Finally!
It started out looking like it would be an early spring. We had temperatures in the ’80’s within the first two weeks of April. Unfortunately, that trend didn’t continue. Now, here we are in the third week of May, and we haven’t really seen temperatures like that since. Adding to that misery, it has rained thirteen of the last fifteen days. The good part has been that trees have leaves again, the grass has turned green, and now our crab apple tree has decided to blossom. This is pretty big event for us, since it didn’t flower at all last year as it recovered from a season of the fungus called apple scab. This year, it’s bloomed like crazy, and I’ve got pictures to prove it!
Another sign of spring is the annual dance recital here in Jordan. I’ve also added a bunch of pictures of the kids from their dress rehearsal. Check them out in the 2005 Candid Photo Gallery.
The final sign of spring is that Jessi and I recently returned from the annual Spring Event at Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia-home of the Cabbage Patch Kids. The kids we adopted arrived home yesterday, and are settling in nicely. I added some more pictures to the gallery of them in their new home.
