Hey all–

I just wanted to post that I will be transitioning the photo gallery part of the website to the recently released Gallery tool, which is just the latest version of the tool I’m using now. It offers much better scalability, and lots of other improved features, so keep looking for it, it will be up soon!

UPDATE:

The gallery is up and running, and the links on the front page reflect the new gallery. The old one will still be in place as a mirror for a while, as I need to transition the blog entries which have pictures over to the new blog. So if you have not looked at the new gallery, you should click here.

UPDATE 2:

OK, so I found a mistake in the Wordpress/Gallery 2 integration. Instead of loading thumbnails on the home page, it was loading the full sized image, and then shrinking them. This might have caused your performance viewing the page to be really poor. Sorry about that, it’s fixed now. I’ve also removed all links to the original photo gallery software on the entries on the first page. I hope to eventually fix the rest of the posts as well. So far, Gallery 2 pretty much rocks, though!

UPDATE 3 - October 12, 2005:

OK, so I found a few more mistakes. Some of you may have noticed them. They were mostly to do with formatting of the gallery while still seeing the banners and footers. Oh well, after much toil, they’re fixed to my satisfaction for the time being.
