For the second year in a row, we’ve let our girls add some color to their for the summer. This summer, courtesy of our friends over at suds seller, they got some really bright color added that looks great on both of them. Check it out!

It seems that each year we perform yet another home improvement project. This time, we did a landscaping project in the back yard. The project was simple. We wanted to stop the encroachment of crab grass from our neighbor behind us, so we created a rocked area with bushes along the entire back of the property. It came out quite well, if you ask me. There’s more pictures in the photo gallery. Below is a preview picture.

A while back, I upgraded the JessiandMatt.net photo galleries to version 2. The biggest difference from version 1 was a database back end. Unfortunately, this has made performance suffer some, but some cool new features have been added. The latest cool features got added in a recent 2.x patch, and I think they are pretty cool. They include three “virtual” albums based on some criteria that comes from the database back end. Here they are, in no particular order:

• View Random Items

Last week, we celebrated the end of the year for Girl Scouts in Jordan with the annual Court of Awards. This was a particularly special year for us, as Otylia was bridging from Daisy Scouts to Brownie Scouts, and Adya was receiving an award for selling the second most cookies in the Jordan Service Unit. Here’s a few photos from the event.

Willy is one of those dogs that doesn’t seem to mind his tongue hanging out. It’s not uncommon to see it laying on the carpet, but I guess it just tastes good. Surprisingly though, he doesn’t like to lick things. Weird…

One of the first things we’ve learned about Willie is that he’s like having a really big cat. His favorite thing to do is to lay around all day. We also discovered that he didn’t really like laying on the bare floor. Jessi really figured out, and tried laying some couch pillows on the floor. He immediately claimed them as his new bed. Clearly we couldn’t have him taking the couch pillows permanently, so that meant we did some shopping for a new bed. We looked at several shops in Shakopee, and finally settled on the bed shown in the photo at the left. Now, we can’t seem to get him out of it! As usual, there’s plenty more pictures in the photo gallery, including Otylia sharing the bed with him.
